    • EMT – Emergency Medical Technician
    • EFR – Emergency First Responder
    • EMR – Emergency Medical Responder

1stAmbuPort is always looking for caring, dedicated people to join our team of Medical Attendants.  We are filling both full-time and part-time positions. Our Medical Attendants work in two-person crews, transporting hospital patients and others who require transportation by stretcher on a non-emergency basis.  Most calls involve transfers to / from hospitals, nursing homes or retirement homes.  While most transfers are bed-to-bed, we also carry patients from one floor to another, using stair chairs.  Attendants are expected to monitor patients, and to provide written and verbal reports where necessary.

Successful candidates must have a clean driver’s abstract and be free of any criminal convictions.  Applicants must be in good physical health, and have the strength to lift and carry patients on stretchers and stair chairs.


A valid “F” class driver’s license is mandatory.

This is a part time position leading to full time.

The candidate must also meet the following criteria:

- Must have a clean drivers abstract.
- Must produce a criminal background check
- Must be a minimum 21 years old for insurance purposes.
- Must be compassionate, reliable and friendly.
- Must have the strength and experience with chair lifting a patient from a three story house stair case.
- Must be willing to work in a non-emergency ambulance across the GTA.
- Must have a good knowledge of the GTA and surrounding areas.


Immediate availability is a must and must be willing to work when called 24/7.

This position for non-emergency transport in a non-emergency ambulance is a good opportunity for any certified EMR / EFR / EMT or RN who needs to build a profile for future admittance into the emergency ambulance industry, or who would like to build a career with us.
